Rimage recently surveyed 100 business executives across a range of industries about their habits and preferences when it comes to keeping their content – at work and at home. The graphic below summarizes the results.
Two interesting themes ran across their business and personal lives:
- Keeping data for a long time (20 to 50 years at work; “for life” at home)
- Concerns about proper archiving of important content
A telling fact: most business executives prefer to receive an optical disc when purchasing software or receiving personal medical records. Based on the results, the disc seems to act as an “insurance policy” over the long useful life of the content.
