Gartner’s Magic Quadrants have long been a mainstay for Enterprise IT and C-Level management in helping them make strategic business decisions. Behind each report is a deep understanding of the landscape for that particular market space – both what enterprises require for success, and what vendors can provide to meet those needs.
For the uninitiated, here is how Gartner describes the Magic Quadrant.
To get a report published requires a huge amount of effort from both Gartner and the companies (providers and users) participating in the space.
Because of this, Gartner’s publication of the first Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Video Content Management is significant. I can’t speak for Gartner, but their decision to invest the time and energy to create this Magic Quadrant speaks loudly to the growing importance of video to enterprises everywhere.
We see the change in our interactions with customers. The conversations and requirements are getting more and more strategic. It’s clear that video is indeed the new document for business, and businesses want to deploy and manage it as they do their other critical business content.
Qumu is proud to be named a leader in the Magic Quadrant for this increasing important and fast-evolving market. It’s an exciting time for video in the enterprise, and the fun has just begun!
